Verse of the Day. :)

Proverbs 19:22
"A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones."

I was reading through Proverbs yesterday morning and this verse really stuck with me. The night before, I had a really rough evening. I was extremely down-hearted and just not a happy person. But Solomon points out that an unhappy person does nothing affect other people. It makes them unhappy. So would you rather go around dragging other people down with you? or go around making people smile? I have to say, being happy is way easier than being sad. If I go through a day being sad, it just makes me feel horrible at the end. But when I am happy all day it totally makes me feel useful because I have usually made someone laugh. So here is my challenge for you and for myself. Be happy today. Instead of saying that mean thing, say something nice instead. :)

yay! update! :D

''Melancholy should be an innocent interlude, a tender and fugitive frame of mind; praise should be the permanent pulsation of the soul.''

''We are perhaps permitted tragedy as a sort of merciful comedy; because the frantic energy of divine things would knock us down like a drunken farce. We can take our own tears more lightly than we could take the tremendous levities of the angels. So we sit perhaps in a starry chamber of silence, while the laughter of the heavens is too loud for us to hear.''

--G K Chesterton

Be happy!

But when you wake up sad or crabby or grumpy, it's a real challenge to be a happy camper lol, but with God nothing is impossible. ; D
